Xavi Menós was born in 1981 in Sudanell, Spain. In 2003, he completed his B. A. in Audiovisual Communication at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. He was the recipient of the prestigious La Caixa Fellowship which provided him with the opportunity to attend a graduate studies program. Xavi subsequently moved to New York City in August 2006 to pursue an M. A. in Media Studies at The New School.

Currently, Mr. Menós is working at Nexus Management Group - Shakira in the digital content department where he manages Shakira’s online presence on Shakira.com, Facebook (43 mm fans), Twitter (12 mm followers), MySpace, Sonico, Tuenti and Youtube. The videos he has created for shakira.com surpass the 40 million views on YouTube. In Summer 2011, Xavi Menós went on the road in Europe, former Soviet Union, Lebanon and United Arab Emirates  with the Colombian sensation creating more than 20 video blogs featuring all the behind scenes of Shakira’s The Sun Comes Out World Tour. In summer 2010, he was responsible for the Waka Waka dance campaign in partnership with the NGO 1GOAL. He also collaborates with Shakira’s foundations: Pies Descalzos - Barefoot Foundation in the creation of on-line content.

Xavi is also responsible for the on-line presence of the fashion expert and tv-personality, Nina Garcia and the award wining Spanish writer, Elvira Lindo.

His photos have been published in major publications such as Rolling Stone, Marie Claire Spain, National Geographic, Vanidades, La Vanguardia, Qué Leer? & Hello!.

Prior jobs include Telemundo-NBC in NYC; Televisió de Catalunya, Localia TV & Cadena SER— all media companies based in Spain.
